.. someone enters the forum.. someone spams a link to a online shop.. spams deleted.. pm sent out to follow guidelines, spam continues.. posts deleted again.. pm sent again… spam continues once again.. we decided to ban the user..

At least let me know what was wrong before kicking me out right? Am new to
this and all I was doing was to share a site I thought was interesting. So

we have pmed you, deleted your previous posts, before banning. Please do
note that sharing an interesting site and spamming for one’s own business
are 2 different things. Guidelines are written for a reason.

We have not seen any other posts / contributions from you except for the
spams. Please let us know why we should lift the ban, what are your
intentions for joining the forum again.

Since you are in charge of the site, it is really up to you who you want to
ban. I just find that it is very immature to be just kicking/banning someone
for your own reasons. I do apologise if I have overlooked your guidelines
and did not follow them closely.

Firstly, you did not give me reasons why you deleted my previous posts and
you only pmed me twice giving the same reason. With that, you would expect
me to read your mind and understand what was happening? Since you are able
to monitor me, you should also know that I am new and guidelines/rules are
also new to me. Put yourself in my shoes and maybe you will understand where
I am coming from.

Yes I would still like to be part of the community as I am into photography
and am quite new to it so all the help from the community would help.
However, if you want to keep me banned is entirely up to you and I am also
assuming we are all adults here.

Having the power to control situations may feel great and empower you but do
not forget you are the same as everyone else and that you started from where
most of us are right now.

our second pm to you was after the deletion of your spams. reads ‘25 Mar 2009 03:03 pm – Please stop spamming the forum.’ yet, spams has continued today. If you do not understand the guidelines, you could have gone thru the proper channel and asked instead of giving ignorance as a reason after what is done. If you didnt know what was wrong or why the posts have been deleted, you could have asked rather than attempt to do it again.

I am not solely in-charge of the forum and it is not of ‘my own reasons’.
Maybe you should put yourself in our shoes and understand the difficults of running a friendly community / forum before saying such harsh statements in this email. We are all adults. And, NO, having the power to control situations does not feel great. Having no situations feels better.

If you think that banning someone and having to read and reply emails like these feels great, we apologise, the ban will not be lifted. We do not want to feel ‘great’ again.

Its not that I love writing harsh emails as I do have other better things to do as well. I totally understand that it is not easy running any form of internet related forums but the only reason why I am reacting harshly is because of how you guys handled the situation.

It is a service that you are running here and you should at least be polite and proper. You do not see such things happening in a store or at a hotel right? You do not just go up to a customer and tell them not to keep trying the clothes or touching the merchandise on display right?

I would not have reacted the way I did if you were nicer. So if that customer just keep messing the display up without knowing that the same items can be seen on the racks you would ask them to get out?

I am not teaching you how to do your job and I totally respect what you are doing and in fact appreciate the time and effort that all of you put into it. I am also in a job where I am very passionate about but I try my best to accommodate to people’s needs and at the same time being patient and nice although they may be ignorant. Aren’t all of us at some point? Not everyone knows everything that you do.

I am asking you to be nicer to people and to understand things better before assuming the negative. You do not have to lift the ban on me but would like to just ask you to be a bit more understanding and not be so full of anger all the time.

I would bet that you do not have to feel ‘great’ again if you just be nicer to the next person. Wouldn’t kill you to do so right? Just put yourself in their shoes and try to understand things in different perspective before making any accusations. Just as much as I would think it is something you would not like.

Anyways, great job with the site and keep it up.

I apologise, i think that your examples are irrelevant. Let’s put it this way.

smoking sign?’ If no, I dun think I’ll be going to these places.

As i’ve said, i do not make the decisions myself. As much as I’m replying this email, it
is not of my own decision.

Personally, I think the anger came from you. And I would think your emails are just very
self-centered. What we are doing is thinking for the community in LomotionSG. what you
are implying is that we are not thinking for ‘you’. Would you want to join a forum full
of spams? links posted all over, same posts all over, not just 1 user, but many cos it’s
not ‘restricted’. Going into a forum seeing the same post in every thread. Have you
thought of these when you post those? Were you thinking of us, of the community or for
yourself?

You know what? You are absolutely right. All that I have said is irrelevant, self-centered and rude. I am full of anger and very self-centered. You are the better and bigger person and all I was thinking of was just myself. I am so sorry.

It is a good thing actually that you are here checking on things as if you were to be other there in the real world you probably won’t last a day with an attitude like yours but who am I to say anything as you are the better person in this case.
